Snoop Dogg Joins Raekwon on Tough New Song '1,2 1,2':

Raekwon's long-awaited sixth album, Fly International Luxurious Art, is packed with special guests, but an appearance from Snoop Dogg may be the best excuse for Nineties hip-hop nostalgia. In advance of the LP's April 28th release, the Wu-Tang Clan member has dropped the grimy, throwback track, "1,2 1,2."

Scoop DeVille produced the horn-blasted track, which finds Raekwon in usual gruff form and Snoop eschewing his smooth, laid-back persona for a flow reminiscent of his aggressive debut "Deep Cover." The new song follows Raekwon's "Wall to Wall" featuring French Montana and Busta Rhymes, the first single off the album since 2013.

Raekwon initially announced Fly International Luxurious Art — also known as F.I.L.A. — in January 2013. The following month, he announced via Twitter that the album was almost complete before he chose to focus on Wu-Tang's 2014 LP A Better Tomorrow. Other confirmed guests on F.I.L.A. include A$AP Rocky, Estelle and 2 Chainz.

Raekwon is also preparing a new documentary on the making of his 1995 classic Only Built 4 Cuban Linx. Titled The Purple Tapes: The Documentary & Film, the feature will be funded by fans through a FanBacked site. "Our vision for the film is for it to be as honest as possible, removing the filter from both ourselves and participants," the rapper told Rolling Stone. "Beyond revealing untold information about the project and how it was created, the film will also bring to life the actual movie that happens within the album."

Following a keynote address at SXSW and appearances on Fox's breakout hit Empire and Justin Bieber's Comedy Central Roast, Snoop Dogg is preparing for the May 12th release of his Pharrell-produced new album Bush. The rapper recently debuted lead single "Peaches N Cream" featuring Charlie Wilson. Outside of music, Snoop has also inked a deal with HBO to develop a new family drama.
