On the Charts: Wale's 'Seinfeld' Album Rules, Yada Yada Yada:

Kendrick Lamar's two-week reign atop the Billboard 200 came to an end as an album about a television show that's been off the air for nearly two decades managed to bump To Pimp a Butterfly out of Number One. Wale's Seinfeld-inspired fourth LP The Album About Nothing – an extension of the rapper's 2008 mixtape The Mixtape About Nothing – debuted in the top spot on the Billboard 200, thanks, in part, to a well-timed tweet by Jerry Seinfeld that said, "Look at my friend @Wale! On point. On fleek. On top!" The Album About Nothing moved 100,000 in total album sales in its first week, the lone LP to push six digits, Billboard reports.

The week's Number Two and Number Three albums go hand-in-hand: The Furious 7 soundtrack and Ludacris' Ludaversal rode the box office success of the seventh installment in the Fast & Furious franchise to total sales of 74,000 and 73,000, respectively. While Ludaversal performed as expected in its debut week, the Furious 7 soundtrack's jump from Number 17 last week (pre-theatrical release) to Number Two (post-mind-blowing $147 million opening weekend) is more impressive.

The Furious 7 juggernaut pushed Lamar's acclaimed To Pimp a Butterfly to Number Four with another 65,000 in total sales. For the fourth straight week, Taylor Swift's 1989 clung to Number Five, followed by Sam Smith's In the Lonely Hour at Number Six. After that, a deluge of debuts popped up in the Top 10: Hootie and the Blowfish singer Darius Rucker's solo set Southern Style scored Number Seven, Death Cab for Cutie's Chris Walla-less Kintsugi claimed Number Eight and 56,000 copies sold and Sufjan Stevens' intimate Carrie & Lowell entered at Number 10.

Expect Wale, Furious 7 and newcomer All Time Low's Future Hearts to slug it out Jason Statham vs. Vin Diesel style for the Number One next week.
