Gwen Stefani was granted a protective order from a fan, Richard Portnoy, who was reportedly so obsessed with her he threatened to kill himself because he couldn't bear to see photos of her tripping, according to TMZ.
The site reports Portnoy had repeatedly shown up at her house with gifts, and "wrote her a letter saying he had concluded she wasn't happy in her present life and he felt he could change that."
