The 'imlovinIt24' campaign celebrates 24 moments of joy in 24 hours in 24 cities

In addition to Big Macs, McDonald’s is dishing up joy throughout the next 24 hours as part of its imLovinIt24 campaign. Designed to celebrate 24 moments of joy in 24 hours with consumers in 24 cities around the globe, the campaign involves performances by noted music acts and various fun events.

Among the performers are Jessie J and Ne-Yo. Jessie J will surprise fans with a unique concert experience at a secret location in London. Ne-Yo will cap the global initiative with a free concert for select fans in Los Angeles Tuesday at Avalon Hollywood. That’s when the singer/songwriter will premiere his new song, “Every Day With Love.” He penned the song using lyrics contributed by fans via McDonald’s. In advance of the concert, fans can hear the song on Twitter starting tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. CST. They can RSVP for the free concert here.

“This campaign is about something positive as opposed to all the negativity that’s going on in the world right now,” says Ne-Yo. “It’s about giving people another reason to smile. And being a super-positive person, I’m all for that.”

imLovinIt24 kicked off Monday in Sydney, Australia, where commuters were invited to play in a 20-foot coffee cup-shaped ball pit before heading to work with a free cup of McCafĂ© coffee. In Auckland, New Zealand, diners ordering Big Macs were treated to music as they opened their burger boxes, thanks to sound chips inserted in a number of the containers. And in Manila, Philippines, a tollbooth was transformed into a McDonald’s drive-thru to hand out free breakfasts.

“We’re just showing our fun side,” says Matt Biespiel, senior director of global brand development for the McDonald’s Corporation. “We wanted to leverage our creative in a more impactful way to engage with our consumers.”
